A new Silent Hill adaptation will be released in 2023

The creator of the popular video game series "Silent Hill" Christoph Gans clarified when fans of the genre should wait for the new movie. According to him, it will happen faster than previously thought, in 2023.
The script for the next Silent Hill film will be completely independent of the previous two films and take into account how the world of Silent Hill has evolved. For the most part, these are separate stories. "Silent Hill is a little bit like the Twilight Zone series, it's a place where anything can happen. I was working on a sequel to 2023, not "Silent Hill" as I envisioned it in 2006. It's going to be a movie for today's audience, while at the same time being very respectful of the source material. I know this is a great franchise for the video game industry and a work of art in the highest sense of the word," commented the director.
Recall that "Silent Hill" was released in 1999. It is considered to be a classic representative of the survival horror genre. In 2006, Hans presented the first film adaptation, which grossed about $100 million at the box office. The main role was played by actress Rada Mitchell, the film also starred Sean Bean. Six years later, viewers were presented with a sequel.
