The remains of the star of the film 'The Blacksmith' are found six months after he went missing
Julian Sands, the British actor best known for his role as the main character in the mystical thriller "The Blacksmith", has been reported dead six months after he went missing near Mount Boldi in Southern California. He was 65 years old.

On 24 June 2023, hikers discovered human remains in a wooded area and contacted authorities. "The process of identifying the body found on Mount Boldi has been completed and it has been positively identified as 65-year-old Julian Sands of North Hollywood. The exact cause of death is still being determined pending the results of further tests. We would like to extend our thanks to all the volunteers who worked tirelessly to find Mr Sands," the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said in a statement.

Julian Sands hiked in the snowy Boldie Bowl area, about 45 miles east of Los Angeles in January 2023. He was an experienced hiker, but conditions in the mountains were complicated by the possibility of avalanches. His brother, Nick Sands, told the media after his disappearance: 'He took risks. He was always so extreme, adventurous; never restricted by rules or boundaries. He was happiest on a mountain top on a cold morning."

What TV series has Julian Sands starred in?
The actor has played in numerous television series, including the role of Superman's biological father Jor-El in The Smallville Mysteries and terrorist Vladimir Birko in 24 Hours.
