Angelina Jolie and Halle Berry to star in spy thriller

In a tense bidding war between several studios over the weekend, Warner Bros. has acquired the rights to Maude v Maude, which will star Angelina Jolie and Halle Berry. Rosanne Liang ("Air Combat") will direct the film from a script by Scott Moger ("Turkeys: Back to the Future"). Halle Berry and Angelina Jolie will share executive producing duties with Jeff Kirchenbaum, Joe Roth, Rosenne Liang and Scott Moger.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but according to insiders, the upcoming project is described as Bond vs Bourne - a mix of action and global thriller, with locations to be announced later.
Halle Berry and Angelina Jolie, who have been starring in films for more than three decades, have never worked together. However, both are veterans of the genre. Angelina Jolie has starred in the popular action films Dangerous Especially and Salt, while Halle Berry has starred in the blockbuster film Die Another Day and the thriller Swordfish Password. Halle Berry's other action work includes John Wick III and the X-Men franchise, while Angelina Jolie's filmography includes such action thrillers as Mr & Mrs Smith, The 60 Second Chase and the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider dilation.
