Bruce Willis announces his retirement from film for medical reasons

Bruce Willis' daughter, Ramer, has issued an official statement on behalf of their family, saying that her famous father has had to give up acting after he was diagnosed with aphasia, a disorder caused by brain damage that affects his ability to communicate.
We wanted to share with amazing fans that our beloved Bruce is experiencing some health issues and was recently diagnosed with aphasia, which affects his cognitive abilities. As a result of this and with great regret, Bruce is giving up a career that meant so much to him. This is truly a difficult time for our family and we are so grateful for your continued love, compassion and support. We are going through this as a tight-knit family and would like to keep fans informed of what is going on because we know how much he means to you as you do to him. Love, Emma, Demi, Rumer, Scout, Tallulah, Mabel and Evelyn." read a statement to that effect.
Note that the actor has had a pretty busy schedule in recent years, finding himself involved mostly in low-budget action films and thrillers. His efforts have been recognized by the Golden Raspberry.
