Christian Bale thanked Leonardo DiCaprio for his film success

Oscar winner Christian Bale admitted that he owes his acting career to Leonardo DiCaprio. In an interview with GQ to coincide with the release of his new film, "Amsterdam," Bale jokingly thanked DiCaprio, who inadvertently helped him become the star he is today.
Look, to this day, any role anyone gets is only because Leo turned it down before," Bale explained his statement. - It doesn't matter what anybody tells you. It doesn't matter how friendly you are with the directors. All those people I've worked with more than once, they all offered him each of those roles first."
The realization that DiCaprio is the first to receive tempting offers doesn't seem to bother Bale, who insists that he never took it personally when casting directors turned him down in favor of the "Titanic" star. "No. You know how grateful I am to get any damn part? I mean, I can't do what he does," Bale demurred. - And he's doing it great. And I suspect that almost all of his peers in Hollywood owe their careers to the fact that he turned down one project or another.
In particular, one of the roles DiCaprio is said to have turned down was that of axe-wielding yuppie serial killer Patrick Bateman in the 2000 horror film American Psycho. It was this role that later brought Bale fame and took his career to the next level.
