The makers of the "The Great Equalizer 3" action movie, which is being filmed in Italy, faced serious problems after police made a series of arrests and searches in a cocaine trafficking case.
Two caterers working on the set of "The Great Equalizer 3" were allegedly detained. This followed a raid on drug dealers in a nearby hotel in which Italian paramilitary police discovered a large shipment of cocaine.
The search began in connection with the death of the food service manager of the film's creators. The 55-year-old man reportedly died of a heart attack, and after his death, "several bags" of cocaine were found in his pockets. This led police to suspect that there may be more drugs on and around the set. Law enforcement also searched a nearby dock that served as a springboard for "The Great Equalizer 3."
Since the drug situation has not yet changed the production schedule, the writers of "The Great Equalizer 3," starring Denzel Washington, still expect to release it on the previously announced deadline. Sony Pictures Studios has announced that the film will be presented to viewers on September 1, 2023. "The Great Equalizer 3" (The Equalizer 3). Release Date - 01.09.2023
Denzel Washington reprise his role as Robert McCall. He was joined by fellow "Rage" filmmakers Dakota Fanning and Gaia Scodellaro. Antoine Fuqua directed the third The Great Equalizer from a script by Richard Wenk. The second series earned over $190 million on a budget of $60 million.
