Daniel Radcliffe has spoken out about returning to the role of Harry Potter
Daniel Radcliffe, whose name is firmly associated with the most popular "Harry Potter" franchise "right now" is not interested in participating in a potential film adaptation of the Broadway play "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child." However, the actor doesn't rule out that he might someday want to return to the role that made him famous, so he prefers "not to close the door completely."
I'll never say "never." The Star Wars guys had about 30 to 40 years before they came back. For me, it's only been 10 years. It's not something I'm really interested in doing right now," Radcliffe said in particular during a joint interview with his colleagues on the adventure comedy "Lost City" Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum.
The question about returning to the iconic role of Harry Potter was prompted by an earlier comment from Chris Columbus, who directed the first film in the Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone series, that he would be interested in an adaptation of the Broadway play.
"I feel like I'm okay with Potter right now, and I'm really happy with what I'm doing at the moment, and coming back would be such a huge change in my life," Radcliffe added.
Recall that Radcliffe was among other actors who participated in the 20th anniversary edition of the first "Potteriana" film, "Harry Potter 20 Years Later: Return to Hogwarts."
