Dwayne Johnson denied rumors of conflict with Warner and DC
The performer as Black Adam in the comic book adaptation of the same name, Dwayne Johnson, has denied rumors circulating on the Web that he has allegedly unsubscribed from several DC-related accounts, including the official "Black Adam" movie account, DC Comics and Warner Bros.
Since Dwayne Johnson is the most popular actor on social media, not one of his likes, posts or "unsubscribes" go unnoticed, so he rushed to clarify the situation to minimize the damage. The actor called the rumors "100 percent false" and explained that he "never signed up" for any of these accounts.
Earlier, Dwayne Johnson and his team were accused of allegedly leaking a report to the press indicating that "Black Adam" was making more money than he actually was.
Along with that, many think that the announcement of Henry Cavill's return as Superman in the film may have been made as an attempt to sell more tickets to the Black Adam sessions. One insider even claimed that Henry Cavill was just "a pawn in Dwayne's failed attempt to control DC Films."
Given that the actor wants a continuation of the "Black Adam" franchise, it makes sense that he would try to quickly dispel any false rumors of discord between him and DC management. How much did "Black Adam" earn?
On a budget of $200 million, "Black Adam" grossed only $389 million at the worldwide box office, meaning it flopped.
