"Euphoria" star to play key role in The Last of Us adaptation

Actress Storm Reid ("Euphoria") will star as Riley in the HBO series "The Last of Us" based on the video game of the same name.
Riley is the girlfriend of the main character Ellie (Bella Ramsey), with whom she tries to survive in post-apocalyptic Boston before meeting smuggler Joel (Pedro Pascal). The project also stars Nick Offerman, Murray Bartlett, Gabriel Luna, Nico Parker and others.
Craig Mazin ("Chernobyl") is the series creator. The creator of the original game, Neil Druckmann, has taken on the role of executive producer. The pilot episode is directed by Russian director Kantemir Balagov ("Dilda").
The show's premiere date is still unknown. Reid has also appeared in "Suicide Squad: Missions on the Fly," "Invisible Man" and the fantasy "Fracture of Time."
