The creators of the Falcon Eye series have deemed the quips exchanged between Clint Barton and Kate Bishop while archery is grounds for submitting the superhero show for the 2022 Emmy Awards in the comedy categories, rather than in the supposed mini-series category. With the category changes, all signs point to Disney+ planning a second season of the series in the future, though no official announcement has been made.
In addition to the main category, Disney+ has nominated Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld in the main acting categories, while the supporting actor categories include Vincent D'Onofrio, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Alaqua Cox, Florence Pugh and Vera Farmiga.
As for "Loki," the series will be presented in the drama category, while "Moon Knight" was left alone in the mini-series category. Competition for the title of "best comedy series" in the upcoming awards season is high as "Barry" and "Ted Lasso" return to the "big game."
Falcon Eye has been praised by Western film critics and has become the most popular video pirate series of 2021. The series will have a spin-off, "Echo," focusing on Maya Lopez, known as the superheroine Echo.
