Filming of the Daredevil and Penguin series halted

"Daredevil: Born Again" and "Penguin" will wait for the writers' strike to end
Screenwriter protests have led to a merger between Marvel and DC: Two ambitious superhero series, Daredevil: Born Again and Penguin, have suspended production until the end of the Screenwriters Guild of America strike. Both series are expected to debut in 2024 - "Daredevil: Born Again" on Disney+ and "Penguin" on Max.

What is known about the series "Daredevil: Born Again"?
"Daredevil: Born Again" is sort of a sequel to Netflix's "Daredevil" series, which aired from 2015 to 2018. Charlie Cox, who played the superhero role in the Netflix show, will repeat it in the upcoming Disney+ project. The character has had time to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe and appeared in "Spider-Man 3: No Way Home" and the "Hulk Woman: The Lawyer" series. Vincent D'Onofrio and Jon Bernthal will also return with their roles as the law thief Kingpin and the vigilante Punisher, respectively.

What do we know about the TV series "Penguin"?
"Penguin" is a spin-off of Matt Reeves' 2022 film "Batman," in which Colin Farrell played the iconic DC Comics villain. He will return to the role, which, among other things, involves prosthetic makeup. The series also stars Christine Milioti, Clancy Brown and Michael Zegen.

Colin Farrell recently joined a picket of writers outside Paramount in Times Square, arguing that "writers are everything to us." He also expressed confidence that a decision would be made because "what's going on is so damn boring" and it is "a testament to the arrogance of those at the top, and those people are out of work now because they're doing the right thing."
