Henry Cavill Announces Expectation of First Child with Girlfriend Natalie Viscuso at Film Premiere
Celebrated actor Henry Cavill, known for his roles in "Justice League" and "The Witcher," has exciting personal news—he and his girlfriend, Natalie Viscuso, are expecting their first child. Cavill shared this joyful update with fans and the media at the New York premiere of Guy Ritchie’s new film, "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare."
During the event, a delighted Cavill spoke to Access Hollywood about his anticipation and excitement, stating, “I’m very excited about it. Natalie and I are both very excited about it. I’m sure you’ll see much more of that.” The actor, who has often expressed his hopes for fatherhood, discussed his future parenting aspirations in a 2017 interview with Men's Health UK, emphasizing his desire to be an active and healthy father.
Cavill, 40, and Viscuso, a television executive at Vertigo Entertainment, first went public with their relationship via Instagram in 2021. They faced scrutiny from the public, prompting Cavill to later post a message asking for positivity: “I am very happy in love, and in life. I’d be enormously grateful if you were happy with me. If you can’t bring yourself to be happy with me, then at the very least try to do yourself proud and be the best version of yourself.”
The couple made their first official appearance together at the New York premiere of Cavill’s Netflix film "Enola Holmes 2" in October 2022. They announced another collaborative venture in December 2022—an adaptation of the popular game Warhammer 40,000, with Cavill expressing his gratitude for their partnership as a “blessing beyond words” on Instagram. Viscuso, sharing her enthusiasm for the project, stated, “Fantasy, horror and sci-fi are the bedrock of my creative language, so when Henry introduced me to Warhammer a couple of years ago, I immediately felt at home.”
Currently, Cavill is promoting "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare," directed by Guy Ritchie. The film, inspired by true events and based on declassified British War Department files, follows a special forces organization established by Winston Churchill during World War II. The ensemble cast includes Eiza Gonzalez, Alan Ritchson, Henry Golding, Alex Pettyfer, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Babs Olusanmokun, and Cary Elwes. Cavill spoke highly of the production, remarking on the strong camaraderie among the cast: “We all got along really well, and it was just nice working with people who wanted to get stuck in, weren’t afraid of anything.”
"The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare," starring Cavill and "Reacher" actor Alan Ritchson, is set to hit US cinemas on April 19 and will premiere in the UK on Prime Video later this year.
Henry Cavill’s professional and personal life appears to be flourishing, with exciting new roles and now the anticipated arrival of his first child with Natalie Viscuso. As he steps into the role of fatherhood, it will undoubtedly be another fulfilling chapter in the actor’s life.
