Henry Cavill will no longer play Superman

Henry Cavill will not be returning to the role of Superman. This information is shared by the head of DC Films James Gunn, and later this statement was confirmed by the British actor himself.
I just had a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran and it's sad news for everyone. Eventually, I may be back, but not as Superman. After being asked by the studio to announce my return back in October, even before they took over the studio, this news is not the easiest, but that's life. The changing of the guard is what happens. I respect that. James and Peter have a new universe to build. I wish them and everyone associated with it the best of luck and the happiest of fortunes. For those who have been by my side over the years.... we may grieve a little, but then we must remember... Superman is still out there somewhere. Everything he stands for still exists, and the examples he sets for us still matter! My turn to wear the cape has passed, but what Superman represents will never change. It's been a fun adventure with all of you, onward and upward," Henry Cavill commented.
Recall that news of the actor's return to the Man of Steel role came shortly after the release of Black Adam. But after its disastrous failure, the new management of DC decided to abandon such a possibility.Henry Cavill's Superman
The actor first played Superman in 2013 in Man of Steel. Since then, he has played the role of the superhero several times: in 2016 in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, in 2017 in Justice League, in 2021 in Zack Snyder's Justice League. In 2022, he appeared in the final scene of the comic book adaptation of Black Adam, and it became a symbol of his return.
