Henry Cavill will no longer play Superman

Henry Cavill will not be returning to the role of Superman. This information is shared by the head of DC Films James Gunn, and later this statement was confirmed by the British actor himself.
I just had a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran and it's sad news for everyone. Eventually, I may be back, but not as Superman. After being asked by the studio to announce my return back in October, even before they took over the studio, this news is not the easiest, but that's life. The changing of the guard is what happens.
