The director of "Guardians of the Galaxy. James Gunn explained why the trailer, shown to guests at Comic-con in San Diego, was not simultaneously released to the Net. According to him, it was his own decision.
I wish you could have seen it too. But it's not just about Marvel management here, it's about me. While I like the teaser, some of the visuals are not at a level that I think is appropriate for multiple viewings and scrutiny - remember, we didn't finish filming that long ago - so you'll have to wait a while! Sorry!" commented the director.
Speaking to the audience at Comic-con, Gunn said the following: "I think of all the films as a single story. It's just the final part of the storyline that we started in the very first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, with Peter Quill, with Rocket seeing where Nebula was going, and even with Craglin, who started by saying a line or two in the first part and is now the main Guardian of the Galaxy."
Note that Marvel Studios has shown several trailers of its upcoming comic book adaptations at once, including the first trailer for "Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever".The release schedule for the projects that will be part of the next phases of the film universe has also been updated.
