John Wick 4 startup box office projections have been improved.
Preliminary projections for the opening receipts of the film "John Wick 4" have been adjusted upward. The fourth series of the popular action film is now expected to earn about $65 million domestically in its opening weekend.
That's about eight million dollars more than the earnings of the "John Wick 3" episode. "John Wick 2" started out with $30.4 million, while the first film in the series grossed a paltry $14.4 million in its first weekend.
As a result, the third film made an impressive $171 million in cinemas in the United States. At the worldwide box office, grosses were almost $328 million, which is a solid amount for a project that is thought to have cost only $75 million.
Note that "John Wick 4" received a very high rating from Western film critics, reaching 90 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. First-time viewers noted that it was undoubtedly the best part of the franchise since the first episode and overall one of the best action movies of the decade.

Director Chad Stahelski said earlier that he and Keanu Reeves plan to take a short break after the fourth installment is released. "We're going to give John Wick a break. When our last movie gets a release date in Japan, we're going to go on tour and introduce the movie there, probably in September. Keanu and I will take a long drive through Tokyo, sit in a hotel scotch bar and ask each other, "What do you think of this?" We'll drink a couple of 20-year-old whiskeys and write some ideas on napkins. If those ideas hold up, maybe we'll make a movie," he said.
