In an interview, West said he discussed with Tarantino the concept for his 2005 hit music video, Gold Digger: "Tarantino would write a movie about slavery, but he and Jamie got the idea from me, because I gave it to Jamie Foxx and Quentin Tarantino as a music video for Gold Digger.
