Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell will star in Apple series about Godzilla and the Titans
Kurt Russell will make his return to television by taking part in the Apple TV+ streaming series Godzilla and the Titans, which is part of the Legendary MonsterVerse franchise. Russell will be joined by his son, famed actor Wyatt Russell, who recently starred in the mini-series "Under the Banner of Heaven" with Andrew Garfield.
The roles father and son will play have not been disclosed, only that they will be accompanied by Anna Sawai, Ren Watabe, Kirsi Clemons, Joe Tippett and Elise Lasowski.
After the battle between Godzilla and the Titans that flattened San Francisco, people have to accept a new reality in which monsters do exist. The series, as yet untitled, will show the journey of one family who has secrets and a legacy that connects it to a secret organization known as Monarch.
Matt Scheckman ("Wanda/Vision") will direct the first two episodes, with co-creators Matt Fraction and Chris Black serving as executive producers. The latter has been appointed showrunner. Legendary Television will produce. Tory Tunnell and Joby Harold are also listed among the producers.
The upcoming series will be part of a universe that includes 2014's Godzilla, 2017's Kong: Skull Island, 2019's Godzilla 2: King of the Monsters and 2021's Godzilla vs. Kong, as well as the anime series Skull Island.
