Liv Tyler will reprise her role as Betty Ross in Captain America 4

Popular actress returns to Marvel Cinematic Universe
Liv Tyler is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The popular actress will reprise her role as Betty Ross, the scientist and lover of Bruce Banner, in Captain America 4: New World Order.

She is also the daughter of General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, played by the late William Hurt in The Incredible Hulk (2008) and now "inherited" by Harrison Ford.

"The Incredible Hulk" was released as Marvel Studios' second feature film, after "Iron Man" launched the cinematic universe a month earlier. The role of Bruce Banner/Hulk was then played by Edward Norton. When the actor famously left the franchise, he was replaced by Mark Ruffalo in The Avengers (2012).

It should be noted that Betty Ross no longer appeared in the Marvel films, although other characters appeared in both the feature-length adaptations and the Disney+ streaming series.

Julius Ona, director of the sci-fi drama The Cloverfield Paradox, is directing the feature film Captain America 4: New World Order, currently filming in Atlanta.
