Marvel is developing a TV series based on the Wonder Man comic book

"Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" director Destin Daniel Cretton and screenwriter and producer Andrew Guest ("Brooklyn Nine-Nine") will team up for a Marvel Comics-based game series, "Wonder Man."
Gest has been named lead writer, and Cretton will serve as executive producer and possibly direct one or more episodes. Cretton is involved as part of his contract with Marvel Studios, signed late last year on the heels of the success of "Shang-Chi."
Development of the "Wonder Man" series is in its early stages, and if successful, production could begin as early as 2023.

Wonder Man, one of Marvel's oldest characters created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, was first introduced in 1964 in the pages of the ninth issue of Avengers Comics. He was originally a villain and appeared episodically, but was reimagined as a hero and Avenger in the late 1970s. In the 1980s, the character found his own voice. Known as Simon Williams, he was one of the founding members of the Los Angeles-based West Coast Avengers. The character, dressed in a turtleneck, red jacket and sunglasses, became a celebrity through his daily work as an actor and stuntman. Wonder Man uses ionic energy and has superhuman strength, speed, and stamina. Has a strong bond with Wanda and Vigen, and had feelings for Wanda after destroying the latter.
