Michelle Yeoh ("All at Once") and Pete Davidson ("Mud") have joined the sci-fi action film "Transformers: Rise of the Beastmen," the seventh installment of Paramount Pictures' franchise based on Hasbro action figures and inspired by the popular 1990s animated series "Transformers: Battle of the Beasts."
Yeoh will voice the warrior girl Aerysor of the Maximals faction, while Davidson will voice the Autobot Mirage. As previously announced, Steven Capel Jr. will direct. As of this writing, the cast includes Dominic Fishback, Anthony Ramos, Lauren Velez and Tobe Nwigwe in lead "human" roles. The film's executive producers include Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, Michael Bay, Mark Vahradian and Duncan Henderson. New Republic Pictures, Entertainment One and Skydance are co-financing and producing.
According to the story, the action in "Transformers: Rise of the Beastmen" will take place on Earth in the 1990s and will feature the Maximals and Terrocons factions in a battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons.
