Natalie Portman and Christian Bale's children star in Thor 4: Love and Thunder
The children of the lead actors in Thor 4: Love and Thunder, Natalie Portman and Christian Bale, have joined their parents on set. That's according to Marvel Universe star and Thor actor Chris Hemsworth, whose own children, along with Taika Waititi's children, also starred in the comic, which will be released worldwide on July 6, 2022.
That's really cool. They really wanted to be a part of the shoot. Taika's kids were there, and Bale's kids, and Natalie's kids, too," Hemsworth said. - And my daughter, who plays a character named Love. And you know, it was like a fun experience for the whole family. I don't want them to continue that experiment and become child stars and actors. It was just a special experience that we all had, and they loved it, they had a great time."
Hemsworth also mentioned working with Bale on set, saying it was "really scary," "Gorr is not a straightforward villain ... he's complicated. What he does is not black and white. He has a truthful motivation, which I think makes him a very interesting villain. You may not agree with the way he does it, but you understand why he crossed the line and why he went down that road. And it's not easy for Thor because there really is some truth in the questions that Gorr asks him, but he can't let Gorr destroy the universe. So it makes their relationship more dynamic and not as predictable as the simple 'good guy vs. bad guy' scenario that we've seen before."
