Netflix organizes a real "Squid Game"
Netflix has decided to revive the popular sci-fi series "The Squid Game." The grim Korean project, which was the largest Netflix release ever, will turn into a reality show, which will involve 456 players (presumably, they are not planned to be killed).
Consisting of ten stages, the competition, titled "The Squid Game: The Challenge," will bring together English-speaking competitors from around the world to compete for the $4.56 million cash prize, the largest trophy for a reality show.
Contestants will compete in a series of games inspired by the show as well as several new ones, and their strategies, alliances and character will be put to the test while competitors are eliminated one by one. It is claimed that casting has already begun.
Recall that the series "Squid Game," which launched in September 2021, is about 456 desperate people who face each other in a mysterious and deadly game of survival to win a prize pool of 45.6 billion won (about three million dollars) that could put them out of their misery. Each round is a traditional Korean children's game, but the consequence of losing is death.
Streaming Netflix has already ordered the production of the second season of The Squid Game.
