Streaming Netflix has acquired the rights to show the new sci-fi project of the creators of "Avengers 4: The Final Destiny" Joe Russo and Anthony Russo. We're talking about a movie called "The Electric State," starring "Very Stranger Things" series star Millie Bobby Brown.
The film is based on an illustrated novel by Simon Stollenhage, set in a retro-futuristic past where an orphaned teenager (Brown) travels through the American West with a cute but mysterious robot and an eccentric vagabond in search of his younger brother.
It also became known that the performer of the role of Star Lord in the Marvel comic book adaptations Chris Pratt may take part in the picture. Contract with the latter has not yet been signed, we only know that the parties are in talks.
Production will take over the studio AGBO, owned by brothers. Note that AGBO acquired the rights to the novel back in 2017, and the project was originally going to finance the film studio Universal. However, production never got off the ground, so Netflix later decided to support the film's production. A possible release date has not yet been specified.
