The trailer for Transformers: Rise of the Beastmen has premiered
Paramount has released a new trailer for Transformers: Rise of the Beastmen, the upcoming feature film based on the popular Transformers: Beast Wars series.

This installment of the Transformers franchise will take place between the Bumblebee and Transformers films, allowing for a sort of soft reboot that still retains the style and continuity of the other adaptations.

The events take place some ten years before Michael Bay's Transformers, and director Steven Capel Jr. plans to use this as an opportunity to explore Optimus Prime's genesis and give fans an insight into how he became a great leader.

The picture will give fans of the series a chance to meet some new characters who have not appeared in previous Transformers films. The appearance of the characters is much more reminiscent of the original cartoons and toys than the previous films as a whole (with the exception of Bumblebee, where some of these images debuted).
