Paul Bettany and James Franco to be subpoenaed in Johnny Depp lawsuit

The court battle between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard will resume at the end of March 2022, and at the request of the participants many celebrities will take part in it as witnesses, including actors Paul Bettany and James Franco, representatives from Warner Bros. and Disney studios and Ilon Musk.
In addition, Depp and Heard's private correspondence with some of Hollywood's most famous stars and influential American entrepreneurs will be on public display.
Recall that the protracted lawsuit began with a defamation suit with specified damages of $50 million, filed by the former "Pirates of the Caribbean" star back in March 2019 in connection with the Washington Post's publication of an article about domestic violence, which was written by Heard in late 2018.
After the case failed to move to California, the "Aquaman" star in turn filed a $100 million counterclaim in September 2020. After losing a November 2020 defamation lawsuit in the U.K. against The Sun tabloid, which described Depp as a "wife-beater," the actor also failed in January 2021 in his desire to see Amber Heard's counterclaim dismissed.
