Ray Liotta passed away at the age of 67
Ray Liotta, who shot to fame in 1990 with a terrific role in Martin Scorsese's crime drama "Goodfellas" after an equally brilliant performance in "Field of Wonder," died at 68. Liotta left behind a daughter, Karen, and was engaged to Jaycee Nittolo.
According to foreign media reports, Liotta died in his sleep while in the Dominican Republic, where he was filming Dangerous Waters. That's all the information at the moment.
Liotta's career has been booming of late. Recent projects starring the actor include the crime drama Multiple Saints of Newark, Marriage Story, for which he won the 2020 Indie Spirit Award for Best Actor, and the 2021 thriller No Harsh Moves. Liotta has just finished working on Elizabeth Banks' directorial project, Cocaine Bear, and was scheduled to star with Demi Moore and Margaret Cuelli in The Substance. Liotta has co-starred in the Apple TV+ mini-series "Black Bird," which will premiere July 8, 2022.
