Relatives urged to 'pray' for Jamie Foxx
Oscar winner stays in hospital in serious condition for three weeks
Oscar winner Jamie Foxx remains in hospital for more than three weeks after needing emergency medical treatment, and loved ones of the actor say he needs all the prayers his fans can muster.
Jamie Foxx's condition remains a secret, with his family closely guarding him, but sources at the medical facility itself reiterate the request for "prayers", which could mean the situation is serious and the artiste's health is unlikely to have improved.
Recall that on 12 April, Jamie Foxx's daughter, Corinne, announced that her father had suffered some sort of "complication" of a medical nature. She did not elaborate on the diagnosis and circumstances of the incident. It was later revealed that all production of projects in which the actor was planning to take part had been halted.
At the time of his hospitalization, Jamie Foxx was in Atlanta to work on the film "Back in Business". Part of the filming was continued with understudies.
Jamie Foxx is one of Hollywood's most in-demand actors and his condition has left studios in disarray. Notably, he was the host of the hugely popular musical game show Beat Shazam on FOX television, which was launched shortly before the incident.
Why did Jamie Foxx win an Oscar?
In 2005, the actor won an Academy Award for his performance as Ray Charles in the biographical film Ray.
