Sony announced "Venom 3" and "Ghostbusters 4
Sony Pictures Studios held a presentation at CinemaCon 2022, held in Las Vegas, and announced the production of "Venom 3" and "Ghostbusters 4."
As of now, no release dates have been given for either of these films, and there have been no announcements about the cast or crew. But naturally, it's no surprise that the performer of Eddie Brock's role in the Marvel Comics adaptation, Tom Hardy, will return in the third installment of "Venom."
Recall that the "Ghostbusters" franchise has been around for a long time and has enjoyed relative success with audiences, but the success of the projects about the alien parasite, which has inhabited the Earth journalist, was a pleasant surprise for Sony. The franchise has become extremely popular over the past few years, despite the negative reaction from professional film critics to the first "Venom" back in 2018.
The critical reaction, I'm not going to lie, is a bummer, because you worked so hard on something. But I know, having watched it with the audience, how much they loved it. So it was a little surprising to me how negative the reviews were. And I really think it's unfounded, because the audience really liked the film," Ruben Fleischer, the director of the first series, said earlier.
