Sony Studios has frozen "Bad Boys 4" starring Will Smith

Sony Pictures Studios has stopped work on the fourth part of the action movie "Bad Guys" with Will Smith. As the reason is given for the scandal at the American Academy Awards, when the actor punched Chris Rock in the face.
It is alleged that previous preparations for the filming was in full swing, Smith has already received the first forty pages of the script for the future movie. Further fate of the project is not yet specified.
Recall that the third film in the series, entitled "Bad Boys Forever" was one of the last Hollywood movies released in worldwide distribution before the pandemic coronavirus new type. It turned out to be quite successful: its box office receipts exceeded $400 million on a budget of $90 million. Smith's constant partner on the set was Martin Lawrence.
Recall that after the incident at the Oscars, the film academy began a disciplinary investigation into the actor. Without waiting for its results, Will Smith has decided to leave the organization. He formally apologized to Chris Rock as well as to all his colleagues and rivals for the nomination.
