The creators of the movie "Black Panther 2" compared it to "The Godfather"
The movie "Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever" is similar to the famous crime drama "The Godfather". That's the statement made by Nate Moore, producer of the Marvel Comics adaptation.
It sounds crazy, but I'm going to say it. There's something of a mob movie about it. There's a little bit of "The Godfather" in there... sounds like I'm acting crazy, but.... It's the same story of families surviving war. Because this movie is in many ways about Wakanda finding an equal, and about the world of Namor," he commented.
But these two isolationist nations, which are incredibly powerful, (probably more powerful than any other nation in the world), figure out how they can both coexist. The film is largely about Wakanda opening its borders in some way and having an unexpected impact on Namor's world. Namor sort of comes to Wakanda with an offer that is not much different, you know, than one of the five crime families (in "The Godfather"). And Wakanda has to figure out how to negotiate with this power that, frankly, isn't afraid of them," he added.
The first "Black Panther" movie was released in 2018. "Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever. The release date is 11/11/2022.
Marvel Studios' second solo film about the high-tech African country of Wakanda, whose prosperity is based on a unique mineral called vibranium, which was used to make Captain America's shield. The first series of "Black Panther" proved to be very popular with audiences, with worldwide box office receipts exceeding one billion dollars. The sequel starred Leticia Wright, Martin Freeman, Tenoch Huerta, Lupita Nyong'o, Angela Bassett and Danai Gurira.
