The director of "Pig" will direct a new movie based on "A Quiet Place."
After Jeff Nichols left the "A Quiet Place" horror project last October, Paramount had to look for his replacement, and it seems the studio has found one of the most promising directors of our time. According to Deadline sources, Michael Sarnosky, who debuted the drama "Pig," in 2021, will direct.
Sarnoski is currently in negotiations, and if they are successful, he will also write the script. Other details of the project have not yet been revealed. What is known is that it is unlikely to be a threequel, but rather some sort of spin-off, taking place in the same universe.
"A Quiet Place" creator John Krasinski has already met with Sarnoski and was thrilled with his ideas. Where this will lead, time will tell.
Any news about the threequel is still unknown, except that it is scheduled to premiere in March 2023.
