The first viewers called the film "Avatar 2: The Way of Water" a masterpiece
After the world premiere of the fantasy film "Avatar 2: The Path of Water", which took place in London, the first reviews of professional film critics appeared in the Network. They were overwhelmingly enthusiastic.
Mike Ryan of Uproxx: "Never bet against James Cameron. I try not to exaggerate, but I've never seen anything like it from a visual standpoint. It's overwhelming. Maybe even too overwhelming. Sometimes I missed plot points because of it, because I was watching Pandora's fish. Also, I rewatched the first avatar over the weekend and mostly thought "that was beautiful." The sequel has much better and deeper character development."
Perry Nemiroff of Collider: "Avatar 2: The Way of the Water is just incredible. I believed James Cameron would raise the bar, but these visuals are mind-blowing. One stunning shot after another. But what I liked most was how the technical advances always serve to develop the characters and build the world."
Ian Sandwell of Digital Spy: "Unsurprisingly, Avatar 2: The Way of the Water is a visual masterpiece with its rich use of 3D and breathtaking vistas. The story itself may not seem particularly intricate and the number of characters to juggle is too much, but James Cameron pulls it all together for an extraordinary final act full of emotion and thrilling action."
