The Screenwriters Guild has announced its nominees
The Writers Guild of America has announced the nominees for its 75th WGA Awards for best original and adapted feature film scripts.
The best original screenplay category includes All at Once (Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), The Fabelmans (Steven Spielberg and Tony Kushner), Menu (Seth Reis and Will Tracy), No (Jordan Peele) and Tar (Todd Field).
Contenders in the best adapted screenplay category were Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever (Ryan Coogler and Joe Robert Cole), Get Knives 2: The Glass Bulb (Ryan Johnson), She Said (Rebecca Lenkiewicz), Top Gun: Maverick (Eren Kruger, Eric Warren Singer and Christopher McQuarrie) and Female Gossip (Sarah Polley).
Of the 10 nominees for the WGA Awards-2023 in the feature film section, four differ from the Oscar-2023 nominees announced on Tuesday, 24 January 2023: The Menu, No, Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever and She Said.
US Screenwriters Guild WGA Awards-2023
The US Screenwriters Guild announced the list of nominees for its award in the television section a fortnight ago - 11 January 2023. The series Bear, Split and Better Call Saul were the top nominees in terms of mentions. All awards will be presented on Sunday 5 March 2023.
