The spin-off of the popular series "Very Stranger Things" will not focus entirely on characters like Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) or Steve (Joe Keery). This was announced by the show's creators, brothers Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer.
It's not... I've read rumors of a spin-off supposedly being about Odie or Steve and Dustin or something like that. I'm not interested in that because we've already done it all. We've spent, I don't know how many hours researching it all. So, the new project is going to be very different," Ross Duffer said.
The Duffer brothers said the spin-off will be "a thousand percent different" from the parent series. The biggest link between the original show and its upcoming spin-off will be the "narrative sensibility," not the main characters.
Hopefully we'll find the right person to pass the baton to while we prepare the new material," the Duffers said, adding that they are "really excited" about their spin-off idea. The Duffers claim that even Netflix does not yet know what they are planning for the spin-off.
