Thor 4 was one of the most expensive Marvel projects
The film "Thor 4: Love and Thunder" was one of the most expensive among the Marvel Comics adaptations. Its production budget was $250 million, not including promotion costs.
More expensive studio cost only three films - "Avengers 2: Age of Altrone", "Avengers 3: Infinity War" and "Avengers 4: The Final. The identical budget was at the picture "The First Avenger 3: Confrontation".
Such an impressive expenditure suggests that "Thor 4" can only become a success with an equally impressive box office. The project certainly has that potential. The impressive opening box office numbers attest to that.
In its first weekend the fourth part of "Thor" brought in $143 million in North America, and the worldwide result exceeded $302 million. That's 29 percent more than "Thor 3: Ragnarok.
Overall, among foreign markets, South Korea led with $15.3 million, followed by Britain ($14.8 million), Australia ($13.8 million), Mexico ($11.8 million) and India ($10.3 million).
