Titanic to be re-released
The legendary Hollywood blockbuster "Titanic" by James Cameron will be released worldwide again in honor of its 25th anniversary. This announcement was made by John Landau, the producer and CEO of Lightstorm Entertainment, at the CineEurope presentation in Barcelona.
According to him, viewers will see an updated version of "Titanic" in 3D 4K HDR in early February 2023. Most likely, the release will coincide with Valentine's Day.
Note that the first 3D version of "Titanic" was presented in 2012. The film takes the third place in the world ranking of the most successful film projects with total collections of 2.2 billion dollars. Of that, $659.4 million came from North America and $1.542 billion from foreign countries. Cameron's other film, "Avatar," takes the top spot.
The news about "Titanic" follows Disney's announcement at CinemaCon that the original "Avatar" will also hit the big screens on Sept. 23, ahead of the debut of the first sequel, titled "Avatar 2: The Path of Water." That film will start in the international box office on December 14 and will be released in North America on December 16.
