"Titanic" will be released again in China. What's known about the release.

The legendary film "Titanic" directed by James Cameron will be released again in China in honor of the 25th anniversary of its premiere. Chinese viewers will have the opportunity to watch the picture in all modern formats, including 3D 4K HDR, and a version that will include "premium components," according to the official press release. It is scheduled to premiere on April 3, 2023.
Note that China is a huge market for James Cameron's films. The original release of "Titanic" in April 1998 brought in $44 million.
In April 2012, the 3D version already grossed another $145 million, setting a series of records. Cumulative receipts to date in China are estimated at $189 million. Recall also that most recently "Avatar 2: The Way of the Water" earned a total of $246 million in this market.
Globally, "Avatar 2: The Way of the Water" surpassed "Titanic" in late February to become the third highest-grossing film project in history. The sequel had grossed $2.298 billion worldwide at the time of publication of this post, which means it was about $40 million away from Titanic.
