Johnny Depp v. Amber Heard
Johnny Depp has come forward as a plaintiff in a defamation case, filing charges against ex-wife Amber Heard. The trial began on April 11 and ended on June 1, 2022. Depp sought compensation for the moral and material damages he suffered after a Washington Post article in which Heard alleged that he subjected her to various kinds of abuse during their brief marriage. The court ordered Heard to pay $10.2 million in compensation to Depp. Heard appealed, which was denied.
