"Venom 3" and "Bad Boys 4" have been given a release date
Sony has announced the dates for its major releases and changed some of the ones already in place - mostly due to the cast strike. For the first time, Venom, aka Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy), will sweep everyone in his path in the summer - Sony Pictures has set a release date for the comic book movie with the working title Venom 3 for 12 July 2024.

The two previous Tom Hardy films - 2018's Venom and 2021's Venom 2 - were released in cinemas in early October. The release date for "Venom 3" coincides with the release date of Disney Studios' animated film "Mufasa: The Lion King" (5 July 2024) and Universal Studios' adventure thriller "Deathstroke" (19 July 2024).

A premiere date has also been announced for the fourth film in the franchise, Bad Boys, which will reunite Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. The action film, with the working title Bad Guys 4, will be released on Father's Day weekend, 14 June 2024. Detectives Mike Lowry and Marcus Burnett are set to overpower Disney and Pixar's sequel Puzzle 2 (14 June 2024).

Which Sony release dates have been changed?
In addition to the new dates, Sony has made some major changes to its release calendar, including moving the comic book "Kraven the Hunter" and the sequel to the 2021 sci-fi comedy "Ghostbusters: The Heirs 2" to 2024. As for the animated film Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse - it has evaporated from the calendar.
