Wallace Langham, star of the "CSI" TV franchise, has landed a role on the "Perry Mason" series.

Wallace Langham, star of the television franchise "CSI," has joined the cast of the second season of the HBO series "Perry Mason."
The actor will appear as Melville Phipps, a Los Angeles native and attorney for a wealthy oil baroness. He is well versed in how to work with women and acts as a guardian when necessary.
The synopsis for the second season of the series Perry Mason, starring Matthew Reese, is as follows: A few months after the Dodson trial ended, Perry (Reese) left the farm and changed his worn leather jacket for a pressed suit. In this worst year of the Great Depression, Perry and Della (Juliet Rylance) took the safer route, pursuing civil suits instead of the tumultuous work that criminal cases entail. Unfortunately for Paul (Chris Chock), there's not much work to do on wills and contracts, so he's left to his own devices. However, the new case, which has the attention of all of Los Angeles, does not allow Perry to remain on the sidelines.
Jack Emiel and Michael Begler serve as writers and showrunners for the series based on the works of Earl Stanley Gardner about attorney Perry Mason.
