Warner Bros. film studio, continues to reshape the list of its prospective film projects. Another "victim" was the adaptation of Stephen King's work called "The Lot" (Salem's Lot). The film has lost its previously announced premiere date - September 9, 2022.
According to the updated rental schedule, viewers may be able to appreciate "The Draw" on April 21, 2023. Sources note that this decision is due to delays associated with the Covid-19 outbreak in post-production. In addition, the film, which was directed by Gary Doberman, had several days of extra filming.
Note that the September weekend after Labor Day was considered a very promising weekend for projects in this genre, starting when another film based on the Stephen King work "It" (2017) debuted with a record $123.4 million for the month.
Warner continued to book that box office window in 2018 with "The Curse of the Nun," which was the best debut of the "Spell" franchise with $53.8 million, and again in 2019 with "It 2," which debuted at $91 million. Doberman adapted "It" for the big screen as a screenwriter.
