Warner Bros. removed "Shazam 2" from the path of "Avatar 2"

Studio Warner Bros. still decided not to tempt fate and not to clash in direct competition for the attention of viewers film adaptation of DC Comics "Shazam 2" with a fantastic movie "Avatar 2: The Way of the Water. The release date of the former has been changed.
Previously, both projects were scheduled to launch in North America on December 16, 2022. However, after showing a short video of Avatar 2 during the presentation at CinemaCon festival, Warner Bros. hastened to postpone the release on December 21.
Naturally, this does not fully solve the problem, but even a few extra days may increase the film's chances of box office success at the box office.
As a reminder, the first series was introduced to audiences in 2019. It earned mixed reviews from film critics and showed underwhelming financial results. With a production budget of $100 million, the picture managed to earn a total of only $366 million.
Nevertheless, Warner Bros. has not abandoned its plans to shoot a sequel. Zachary Levi again took the lead role, and Helen Mirren, Adam Brody, Megan Goode, Rachel Segler and others also starred in the film.
