Winnie the Pooh and Piglet become sadists in the new movie
In the new version of the cinematic story of Winnie-the-Pooh and Piglet, which the filmmakers of "Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey" are ready to offer viewers, the main characters in the tale by Alan Milne will be insane sadists. About this said the director of the picture Rhys Frake-Waterfield.
Pooh and Piglet, they have no scruples, and in fact they are absolute sadists. That was what I wanted from the characters. It was always just Pooh and Piglet in the spotlight. I came up with and asked the actors to portray Pooh as the alpha in this duo. So he's the alpha male, and he's always in charge of the camp. Piglet is basically a little minion to him, and just does whatever Pooh wants. And they have existed in this pattern for years. They developed really sadistic tendencies. They would just go out and attack people to kill and eat them, that's their way of life... basically, people are just food," he commented.
Note that the project is the first major character release since Pooh, Piglet and other characters from the original A.A. Milne novel became public domain on January 1, 2022. There are some elements, such as the bear's recognizable design or closet, that still remain under Disney copyright.
